Our goal when brewing will always be to create interesting and flavor-forward beers that we, ourselves, like to drink. Other than that, there are no rules.
This hybrid brings together all of the best qualities of Belgian brewing and American hopcentricity — spicy, hoppy, dry and complex.
Belt & Suspenders
Loads of Crystal and Sterling hops lead the way in producing huge citrus and pine aromatics. Hoppiness is supported with a clean, slightly biscuity malt backbone.
This bright beer is crafted to provide the right balance of fruity and citrus aromatics, while combining a distinct Belgian yeast character in subtle whispers. The result is a highly sessionable, refreshing beer.
A malt-driven dark ale with layers of chocolate, caramel and coffee over a base of roasted malts. It boasts a rich mouthfeel giving way to some warming alcohol on the finish.
Extra Pale Ale
Brewed with all Michigan-grown Cascade and Chinook hops from Hop Head Farms, this Extra Pale Ale is light enough for a session but loaded with aroma and flavor.
American Imperial Stout
A big, hardy, strongly-roasted ale hopped with Simcoe throughout. Its maltiness is complimented by a hefty hopping schedule and a bit of bitterness in the finish.
Crisp, pale, and refreshing...This unfiltered wheat beer is brewed with coriander and orange peel which adds complex fruit and spice aromas to an easy-drinking ale.
Hops are the hero in this powerhouse. Hopped throughout with Simcoe and Centennial, Clencher is loaded with pine and citrus aromas and the body and alcohol to compliment it’s assertive flavors.
Imperial Red RyeA Collaboration with Greenbush Brewing
A ruby red beer with massive amounts of rye — this spicy and hearty ale is generously hopped and dry-hopped with Chinook. Malted and unmalted rye provide a spicy, earthy backbone which is accentuated by the pine-forward aromatics of Chinook
Black Rye IPA
A dark, hoppy ale brewed with generous amount of malted and unmalted rye. The classic American hop profile of Cascade and Centennial is accentuated by a light rye spiciness and moderate maltiness. This beer finishes dry with a slight dark roast character.
Belgian Dark Strong w/ Blackberries
Created with our friends at Haymarket Pub & Brewery, Awkward Exchange is a dark, malty Belgian ale brewed with an authentic Trappist yeast strain. Mashed with 5 different dark specialty malts and a healthy dose of Dark Belgian Candi syrup in the kettle.
The massive malt character is tempered by the addition of 90 gallons of Blackberry Juice in the finishing tank, providing a slightly acidic and bright fruit note on the finish.
